hopefully if GW2 is 250 years from the present GW age they have guns and shit like that so we can kill them that way, or we just nuke the bastards.

Bring back the dwarves please; I don't want another game that's going to be "OMFGI PWNED THAT DRAGON AGAIN!"
Really, I don't want to hear it... Enough with the dragon's; they're old hat now.

Yeah, and Dwarves are like the newest thing to hit the Fantasy genre.

The thing at the bottom of Drakkar Lake is not aquatic.
Why would there be a forest frozen along with it. Last time i checked, trees dont grow underwater. That thing was flash frozen for sure. Which leads me to believe that it's some sort of insect-like creature.

I added eyes to Drakkie.
I noticed it had eyelids in the picture so I stuck eyes in them.

i agree with pwny, it doesn't look aquatic. besides, the dragon takes up half the lake, not exactly comfortable. plus the trees... but it doesnt look like an insect to me.

I could have sworn it looked like it had 6 legs. Then again i didn't really sit there and study it.
And holy those added eyes look good.

from the pics it looks pretty aero-dynamic and has large wings. It looks like it could possibly fly but it opens up the possibility that its a water dragon again.

So we already have a dichotomy of good and evil dragons well established and we know that EOTN is supposed to bridge the gap between GW1 and GW2, so it is safe to assume that GW2 will probably be about (or at least contain) a fight between the aforementioned good dragons and their counterpart the evil dragons.
|
That depends. We really don't know how the politics will play out between these different dragons. For all we know, Glint could be playing heroes like a fiddle or just plain turn evil.
But I can agree that there will be lore about these different dragons. Also, if you do a lot of the side quests, you can see a lot of other stories/lore being set up for GW2 as well. Like the last of the Mursaat for example.
And there is still tons of lore to resolve/flesh out.

GW2 will be like GW:EN, but every dragon will have its own rep track. You must have at least Glint rank 5 before you can talk to Glint, etc.
You heard it here first.

flash frozen? I dont think there would be enough humidity in the air to flash freeze something and turn it into a frozen lake. If it was flash frozen it would just be a icy dragon and some icy trees, not a frozen lake unless there area was a lake. Maybe it was global warming, it melted all the glaciers while the dragon was sleeping and immediately the recently abandoned global cooling theory came into play and froze that dragon right then and there, the possibilities are endless!

THIS IS A VIDEO GAME.
LOGIC NEED NOT APPLY.
PHYSICS AS YOU KNOW THEM ARE VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT.
TREES CAN GROW ANYWHERE, DRAGONS SWIM IN THE AIR, AND HUMIDITY IS AN EPIC MOUNT.
Realism? In my GW?
It's more likely than you think.

In a world full of magic it's quite possible that it was trapped there by an unknown force and then sealed up in the lake, much in the same way the Destroyer dragon was turned into stone and locked away under ground.

In fact, I think that's probably why they've been removed - ANet is looking to have unique races, and apart from humanity, the dwarves were the only 'classic' fantasy race in the game.
